Expanding the D-Series Range With The D500

The new D500 is the most powerful diaphragm pump TCS has ever developed, creating a compact pump with increased capability over our existing range.

At TCS Micropumps, we’re always innovating to meet customer requirements. Following demands for a more capable D-Series option, we have expanded the range with the D500, delivering new levels of flow performance for its size.

Existing TCS diaphragm pumps are perfect for when the design needs to be highly compact, but able to handle high pressure. However, we identified the need for a diaphragm pump that could provide significantly higher flow while maintaining the same high quality, robust construction and exceptional reliability of the existing range.

The D500 has been developed to deliver much higher flow than our current designs, the D260 and the D3K. Working hard to develop the D500 to our high standards, it will feature the same FKM Viton diaphragm as the D260 and D3K, but will be housed in a machined, lightweight aluminium casing. Maximum free flow is now up to ~6L/min and maximum pressure is up to ~2bar, highlighting its increased power from the larger, long life DC Motor. The D500 will be primarily optimised for gasses, but can also be used in liquid applications and retains a self-priming capability.

As with all of our products, the D500 will be fully customisable via our bespoke design service should you need a solution tailored to your system.

D-Series pumps are effective where small size, high pressure and the ability to self-prime are key requirements. A diaphragm pump uses a flexible membrane that moves back and forth to create suction and pressure. This draws fluid or gas into the pump before pushing it out through an outlet valve. This simple, reliable design allows diaphragm pumps to operate without contamination from lubricants, making them ideal for applications that require fluid or gas handling, including medical devices, laboratory analysis equipment and industrial systems.

The D500 is in its final stages of pre-production, and will be available to purchase in Q4 of 2026.
